Spring is on it's way

Hopefully the storms and harsh winter are behind us...We are ready for Spring time with fresh, beautiful and colourful dishes.

Happy peacocks


Crazy for crust


Catering can involve such food waste. 
But don't worry we found some very happy candidates for our pounds and pounds of bread crust off our hundreds of sandwiches, the beauty's hungry Avington peacocks.....


Afternoon tea


Grey day at Avington, no problem....
we lit the fires and it instantly became a cosy autumnal day with the lovely smells of the wood burning.

130 guests for champagne reception followed by afternoon tea.

Creme fraiche and king prawns sandwiches
Egg and cress sandwiches
Creamy goat cheese and red onion jam sandwiches
Coffee and walnut cake
Lemon drizzle cake
Chocolate brownie
Strawberry, raspberry and blueberry tartlets

I can't imagine they would have needed much of a dinner in the evening after all of that....

Congratulations to Corinne & Bobby

The weather was not looking too promising but it cleared up and our bride, groom and all their guests managed to enjoy the beautiful grounds of Avington Park on Friday

Beautiful Summer's evening at Avington Park. Stunning sunset. Perfect setting for an outdoor's event.
The Pimm's was flowing and hog roast was a hiving success.
Our guests found it hard to let go and jump in their coach back to London.
Sunset light, candles in the dark, last of the summer's warm evening, no wonder....

First September wedding

Mint, cucumber, lemons and English strawberries all ordered, ready for post wedding ceremony drinks on the lawn, the British way

A very English wedding for our beloved clients, Tom and Corinne on Friday, it's going to be a great day.
Can't wait to see them arrive in their lovely wedding car and congratulate them.

This week

Good old crackling...

Thursday we are off to Winchester to cater a big party and on the menu will be zizzling pork, with crackling and lots of beautiful salads.
Cold drinks and a very hot and sunny day announced, it's going to be a great day at Avington Park in their stunning park, umbrellas out, guests mingling out and enjoying the late summer sun.

Final preparations for this weekend wedding at Avington Park.

On the menu for Saturday:

Parma ham, avocado, and mango salad

Roasted chicken breat on a bed of wild mushroom risotto, drizzled with Truffle oil and topped with Parmesan shavings

Rich chocolate pot served with its strawberry tartare and creme fraiche

If we have enough time we will take some picutres and put them up next week on our blog
